ACTIVITIES FOR THE DISABLED PERSONS OFFERED BY THE DEPARTMENT
The department of employment
offers various welfare services for the disabled persons. The disabled persons
get themselves registered with any of the employment exchanges in the State
where they are offered services like educational and vocational guidance,
information regarding employment/self employment opportunities, information
regarding available training facilities within and outside the state, various
schemes and facilities provided by the central and state govt. etc. They are
offered assistance in getting railway and bus passes, disability certificate
etc. on a single window basis. Under the annual action plan of the department,
special employment camps are organized in which the disabled persons are
specially invited and offered services for employment/ self employment/
rehabilitation.

persons during the year 2004-05:-
